Reception Area Flooring | Case Study

Flexi-Tile recently carried out a PVC interlocking floor tile installation for a ‘reception area’ at Beepark Community Centre in Manorhamilton, Ireland. The reception area required an urgent floor upgrade, as our client was experiencing issues with their tiled floor.

Challenges with our client’s existing floor

The existing PVC tiles in the reception area at Beepark, had warped, causing raised areas on the floor surface, particularly around the entrance to the building where there is constant heavy foot traffic. Another issue our customer expressed was the poor appearance of the floor. The aesthetics of the light grey tiles had dilapidated over time and the reception area was not the tidy and welcoming space it had once been. On the original floor installation the tiles had not been laid using a adhesive sealant, causing the tiles to become more easily displaced over time. The displaced tiles accumulated dirt easily in the tile gaps and maintaining a clean surface couldn’t be maintained.
