We advise that Flexi-Tiles are laid in areas that have an ambient temperature between 16°C-24°C. In rooms where under-floor heating is going to be used, the heating MUST be turned on and allowed to reach a warm temperature (at least 20°C) before you install the floor.
When your tiles arrive, you will need to allow them to acclimatise for up to 24 hours. If you are in a rush, you can dismantle the pallet and lay the tiles out to help them acclimatiser quicker.
Installation should not take place at temperatures below 15ºC or above 30ºC
PLEASE NOTE: If installation has to take place at a temperature below 15ºC, leave a larger expansion gap between the tiles and any fixed point and / or incorporate an expansion gap in the floor every 8 to 10 meters.
Please Note: We are unable to honour our warranty terms for installations that have taken place at temperatures outside the recommended temperature range (between 15ºc & 30ºc)

Adhesive is required for all tiles put in the area with underfloor heating, exposed to sunlight, or depending on the weight circulating across the floor to avoid the tiles lifting up. Please refer to our installation guide for more information on this.
Prepare the subfloor by sweeping the existing floor to ensure that the surface is clean and free of dust and dirt.
The tiles can be laid on uneven surfaces (A gradient of up to 7mm per 2m of concrete subfloor and 5mm per 2m for wood subfloor). We recommend using a self-levelling repair compound in areas where there are variations in subfloor surface. If not addressed, floor tiles may ‘dislocate’ at the interlocks (The smoother the subfloor, the better your Flexi-Tile floor will be).
Yes, our tiles can be installed over a painted, vinyl or carpeted as long as its level and not slippery or damp.
The usage of sealant is not required for dark grey and black tiles.
We recommend using “Dr Schutz” sealant for all light grey and coloured tiles (green, red, yellow, blue).
“Dr Schutz” sealant creates a thin protection surface and makes cleaning easier.
